Bleakness formed out of a need to express feelings of unease that resulted from witnessing the frustration and desesperation spawned out of an oppresive system. In the beggining that created fast and tensed hardcore punk songs infused with melancolic melodies. After a handfull of local shows Bleakness quickly embarqued for their first european tour. During the two following years, between releasing EPs and constantly playing shows and tours in France and abroad, the trio kept busy working on new songs, each new song giving more space for post punk influenced melodies to evolve. Euskal rage ! HONDARTZAKO HONDAKINAK came to life in 2011 in the northern part of Basque Country. Straight from their demo they caught the attention of many of us, delivering an impressive amount of noise and distortion. "Bruiarta" is their first full length and the trio made the most of it bringing new influences and more diversity to their sound. 80's UK punk will come to mind listening to the catchy and powerfull intro of this record but it's only one of the numerous and inspired aspects this piece of vinyl has to offer. The record comes with a nice bookled in which the shouted basque lyrics are translated in various languages. Between closed mines, abandoned factories and grey buildings rises DELETÄR. The city of St Etienne has been home of one of the most active french local punk scene for several decades. DELETÄR is one of the very few d-beat acts coming from the hexagone. Exactly one year after the release of their first 7’’, ANNEES ZERO does it again ! Lille incendiary quintet has built a strong reputation taking no prisoners in their live acts. These representatives of a ripped and fallen world are back with a new 7’’. It has been years in the making ! After several represses, reissues, release projects and ideas that never came out, something big is finally about to see the light of day. Early June, Destructure along with Stonehenge are releasing the long awaited Amanda Woodward collection records. Taking the shape of three LP, it gathers all the previous official releases as well as some unreleased alternate / demo versions of tracks that you've never heard before. Amanda Woodward started late 1999 in Caen, Normandy. The diy punk scene there at that time was a dozen of enthusiastic kids playing in several bands each. From the ashes of SOAR, SEASON and ALCATRAZ, they started something whose goal was to defy everything they've done before...

Only a couple of months have passed since the release of their first album and BETTER OFF DEAD are back with a new 7". This record opens a new era for the band. Beyond the line-up change, "Sans Issue" is the first BETTER OFF DEAD recording sung in French, and the music goes forward their previous efforts. These four songs are tense, catchy and heady without losing the great sense of melody and the personnality we used to like the band for. Some of you who saw BOD during their last euro tour may remember these songs. This 7" was recorded by Franck Neuman who also plays drums in BITPART. The nice cover art was done by frontwoman Kroquette once more and was screenprinted by Jon Ol'Dirty Hands. BLEAKNESS had the opportunity to record demo of new songs before leaving on tour with FOTOCRIME last september and to release a tape containing half of this session. This demo is a promising draft as these songs will be re-recorded hopefully soon for a new record. This recording get to the point, it is raw but its a new proof of the band ability to look deeper in their identity, sharping their music again. These four songs are both dark and energic, there is a particular feeling in them like in the hypnotic. "Persistent Inadequacy" or in the instrumental "Remedy the Unease" for which they invited Samuel Frin to play saxophone. This session was recorded by Anthony Gandon in Nantes and mixed by Jacky Spector in Brest. As usual, it comes with a great artwork by Jerome Sztuka Wojny.

This album is dedicated to native Americans, to their History and their fight. Our lyrics talk about their History but also their stories, and about their extermination under colonisation. We can't pretend knowing or even imagining what this people endured, what they've been through and what their descendants still experience nowadays. Also we don't think that this album will change anything. But we hope that through our simplified, romanced and vulgarized lyrics, we could take part (at our scale) in getting this topic (often forgotten and deliberatly avoided or turn into derision and entertainment) better known. It is also possible to read in between our lines a reflection on our nowaydays society, and this feeling of fury and despair that a lot could feel facing the today's world and its progress and development by any means necessary.

Here we go again with a band from Lille, risen from the still burning ashes of TRAITRE, KRONSTADT is a new band from this really active punk scene. The ease option would be to compare them to their previous band but we won't. KRONSTADT offers some great punk-rock, heady and melancholic but also straightforward and catchy. A bunch of French punk bands from the 80's may come to mind while listening to this as well as more recent stuff but don't get wrong, KRONSTADT is nothing else but KRONSTADT. Lille has been the birthplace of so many great bands these past years. We've already released a couple of records with bands from this exciting punk scene (SHORT DAYS, GUTTER…), ANNEES ZERO is a quite new band coming from the darkness and the filth of a bitter world close to explode. The band consists of current and ex members of great bands like SHORT DAYS, SEVICES, KRONSTADT It's a tense and enraged kind of hardcore which blows up to your face. Welcome on the journey, "Taking trains" is the first BETTER OFF DEAD full lenght. This trio involves long time punk activists from Angers, France. The trio strikes again, a couple of months only after the "Ruined Fate" 7", BLEAKNESS went back to the Swan Sound Studio to record four songs. During this short length of time, the band has managed to flesh itself out. Basically, the formula stays the same but it's brought to the upper level. "Relentless" is the long awaited YOUTH AVOIDERS second album. The five years between this new full lenght and their debut have been really intense for the band, made of constant live appearances everywhere around the globe. Intensity is the trademark of YOUTH AVOIDERS, "Relentless" is the fruit of a five days session in the Normandy countryside studio Swan Sound. GUTTER is a quite new band from the very prolific city of Lille, northen France. There is a lot of great bands coming from there since a couple of years. GUTTER released a cool demo last year and we were very enthousiastic when we heard these new songs. This first vinyl effort is a 7 songs 12" of distorded and bitter hardcore with a sour 80's aftertaste. GUTTER develops a very personal kind of anger and despair. The quartet has been compared to the recent wave of UKHC bands or to Boston bands but for us it's just a great fucking hardcore band done with sincerity. Here is the vinyl repress of the MAREE NOIRE demo we released last autumn. Their first recording is now available on a 7", 4 songs of implacable d-beat hardcore emergency. These guys music and words sound like a response to an oppressive and crushing world, a frank and direct blow. MAREE NOIRE is made by some (still young) punk veterans who played in an impressive number of bands and still play in bands like Better Off Dead, Bleakness and Syndrome 81 just to name a few. Expect some disillusioned vitriolic lyrics in French. It's another Destructure release recorded and mixed at the great Swan Sound studio by Guillaume Doussaud. LITIGE is a great punk-rock band based in Lyon, these 3 girls and this guy bring something very fresh and inspiring, sung half in French, half in English. The demo was already really good, the shows we've seen were awesome and we could not miss this and offered to help them release their first vinyl effort. "Fuite en avant" contains 8 great punk-rock but not the boring kind of punk-rock. The vocal parts are inspired and lively. The social / personnal lyrics are very original and well-written. It's a record that you shouldn't miss.
